Oil: Syria and Turkey sign agreement

Syria and Turkey have signed an agreement to establish a Syrian-Turkish joint company to drill and develop oil fields in the two countries.

Syria's Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Soufian Allao, added that he discussed with the General Director of Turkish Petroleum Company, means of transporting the Iranian and Azeri natural gas to Syria by the Turkish company.

The agreement covers developing cooperation in the fields of exporting and importing oil byproducts, establishment of oil service stations in Syria and refining the crude oil in the Syrian refineries.
